The Office of Mayor Randy Farris

I was born and raised in Meridian Mississippi and graduated from Meridian high school in 1975. After graduation I decided to take a year off before attending college and, in 1976, landed a job with Delta Airlines. What started out as a short stint became a career spanning almost 30 years.

After traveling to many states and countries I met and married my lovely wife Wanda in 1985. Together we raised two sons in Tennessee before moving to the Gulf Coast in 2011.

I retired from Delta in 2005 and started working in the heating and cooling field. I opened an HVAC store in Pensacola for commercial vendors, and in 2015, left that business.  I was semi-retired for about 7 months before needing to do something else. A church member asked me to start driving a school bus so chapter in life. I retired from the school bus in October 2025 and plan on being full time Mayor for our tight little community of Summerdale.
