Just 30 minutes north of the Orange Beach/Gulf Shores Beaches, Summerdale is the gateway to the south’s most popular tourist area. With the only two major highways leading south, Summerdale offers the only access to the beaches. Traffic Counts are more than 60,000 vehicles per day, during peak season.

We fully expect to move from a “Town” status to a “City” within the next 3 years.  With this projected growth, Summerdale officials are pro-active. They are continually working and planning to improve our pro-business environment. Summerdale is a virtual blank canvas for future development. The Economic Development Division provides information and assistance to companies looking to start, expand, and/or relocate to Summerdale. If you are looking for an area that supports business, then Summerdale is your place.

“Location, location, location” is the mantra of business, residential, and commercial real estate. Selecting the right location may be the most important decision that a business or resident makes. The Economic Development staff markets the Town as an attractive business location and proactively contacts Summerdale businesses, as well as companies seeking to expand and/or relocate to the Town of Summerdale. Business retention, expansion, and attraction activities include providing interested companies with valuable information and resources to help make the decision to locate or stay within Summerdale.
